A natural disaster is the effect of the earth's natural hazards, for example flood, tornado, hurricane, volcanic eruption, earthquake, heatwave, or landslide. They can lead to financial, environmental or human losses. The resulting loss depends on the vulnerability of the affected population to resist the hazard, also called their resilience. If these disasters continue it would be a great danger for the earth. This understanding is concentrated in the formulation: "disasters occur when hazards meet vulnerability." Thus a natural hazard will not result in a natural disaster in areas without vulnerability, e.g. strong earthquakes in uninhabited areas. The term natural has consequently been disputed because the events simply are not hazards or disasters without human involvement. A concrete example of the division between a natural hazard and a natural disaster is that the 1906 San Francisco earthquake was a disaster, whereas earthquakes are a hazard. This article gives an introduction to notable natural disasters, refer to the list of natural disasters for a comprehensive listing.
Zac Brown Band is an American country, Southern rock, bluegrass, reggae and folk band based in Atlanta, Georgia. The lineup consists of Zac Brown (lead vocals, guitar), Jimmy De Martini (fiddle, vocals), John Driskell Hopkins (bass guitar, vocals), Coy Bowles (guitar, keyboards), Chris Fryar (drums), Clay Cook (guitar, keyboards, mandolin, steel guitar, vocals), and Daniel de los Reyes (percussion). The band has toured throughout the United States, including a slot on the 2009 and 2010 Bonnaroo Music Festival. They have also recorded four studio albums, and charted eight Number One singles on the Billboard country charts: "Chicken Fried", "Toes", "Highway 20 Ride", "Free", "As She's Walking Away", "Colder Weather", "Knee Deep" and "Keep Me In Mind", in addition to the single "Whatever It Is," which peaked at number 2 on the same chart.
Zac Brown was born July 31, 1978 in Cumming, Georgia. He was raised by his mom and step-dad, a dentist on Lake Lanier. The 11th of 12 children, Brown attended Mashburn Elementary School in Cumming, Georgia, Lakeview Academy in Gainesville, Georgia, and South Forsyth High School in Cumming. He later moved to Dahlonega, Georgia, where he graduated from Lumpkin County High School. He learned to play classical guitar at the age of 6. As a teenager, he played solo gigs in local venues, performing country and pop cover songs. “Most of my brothers and sisters are older—the oldest is 21 years older than me—so a lot of them were in college or had families of their own by the time I was growing up," said Zac Brown in a interview, but that left him time to bond with his family. Because of this, he was able to learn many things as a child growing up, such as shotgun shooting and playing instruments.

Conforming on a monday
Too often and too cold
But you aren't even listening
Because you are just
Too old to feel an earthquake
Or too cool to even care
But you aren't even listening
So why should I?
You are
A natural disaster
And I've wanted you too much
And now I'm gonna lose
I've wanted you too much
And now I've gotta choose
You're the cause of all this
And I'm sick of trying to please you
And you're gonna feel my emotions coming
Because you're the world
Like a broken damn you're empty
And all that's left are the sticks and stones
That were built by other people
And it really shows
But you aren't even listening
Because you are just
Too old to feel an earthquake
Or too cool to even care
But you aren't even listening
So why should I?
You are
A natuaral disaster
And I've wanted you too much
And now I'm gonna lose
I've wanted you too much
And now I've gotta choose
You're the cause of all this
And I'm sick of trying to please you
And you're gonna feel my emotions coming
Am I another Casualty?
In the battle you're fighting?
You're your own worse enemy,
At war with yourself, but you can't see.
And I can't stand to watch,
Your comet coming fast,
Everywhere you go it seems that lighting strikes and then you crash,
I don't know how you do it,
It always ends the same,
Everywhere you go it seems lightning strikes but there's no rain, no rain.
Feel like you're moving in slow motion,
And you don't know where you're going,
You tried it all and it's too boring,
Tighten up your grip cause it's a long way down.
And I can't stand to watch,
Your comet coming fast,
Everywhere you go it seems lighting strikes and then you crash,
I don't know how you do it,
It always ends the same,
Everywhere you go it seems lightning strikes but there's no rain.
Watching you slip away,
It's getting harder everyday,
When you're coming down like a hurricane,
I can't stand to see you in pain,
So I just look away.
I can't stand to watch,
Your comet coming fast,
Everywhere you go it seems lighting strikes and then you crash,
I don't know how you do it,
It always ends the same,
Everywhere you go it seems lightning strikes but there's no rain, no rain, no rain...
Look upon the field of snow and find the desert sea
Under the ice the springs will flow to release
Fecundates like a natural disaster, disaster
From the first drop of water to the rage of Niagara
Collapse upon the forest floor and down upon your knees
Anthurium Lacrimae decays underneath the canopies
Like a natural disaster, a disaster
It's the one that's been happening over and over and over again
No peace in the valleys, malarial alleys where the kittens have pleurisy
Donning our goggles, Valerian ogles to see microscopically
A colony of dermestids, undressed and digested
A gray spotted owl and a wolf with a lung disease
Collapse upon the forest floor and down upon your knees
Anthurium Lacrimae decays underneath the canopies
Like a natural disaster
She said she saw me on TV
This girl's a legend in the late night scene
And you can see she aimed to please
Cause she just wouldn't take her eyes off me
She made the music come to life
She moved her body like a butcher knife
Chopping up every guy in sight
She was mysterious
I could not resist to save my life
I don't know what this girl was after
She's a natural, natural disaster
She's so sexy
I had to have her
She's a natural, natural disaster
Natural disaster
Now when she left me on the floor
She knew I'd follow her right out that door
She'd always leave you craving more
Just the addiction I've been waiting for
She made the music come to life
Staring me down with those electric eyes
And when she said 'Your place or mine?'
I was delirious, I could not resist to save my life
I don't know what this girl was after
She's a natural, natural disaster
She's so sexy
I had to have her
She's a natural, natural disaster
Natural disaster
All my love
What's your name?
What's your game?
Show me how to play
All night long
Cause I can see you and me going all the way
All night long
And I don't even really care what you're after
All night long
As long as you keep going faster and faster
She said she saw me on TV
This girl's a legend in the late night scene
And you can see she aimed to please
Cause she just wouldn't take her eyes off me
I don't know what this girl was after
She's a natural, natural disaster
She's so sexy
I had to have her
She's a natural, natural disaster
Natural disaster
I don't know what this girl was after
She's a natural, natural disaster
She's so sexy
I had to have her
She's a natural, natural disaster
Had lips like candy
Hair flowing like water
Skin like velvet made
The whole damn world slow down
She was a preacher's daughter
Never did what daddy taught her
And the rebel in her soul
Brought her to me
The river was cold
And the river was wide
She flowed from the mountain
Straight across the great divide
And her heart ran cold
But her love runs deep
She's fire on the mountain
Wrecking everyone she meets
She's like rain when she rolls in
But that sunshine in her thunder
Makes the loneliest heart wonder
If the ride is worth the pain
Might not be stone clouds inside
Oh but don't you worry friend
She's coming around the bend
She's holding lightning in both hands
Lord please know
It's that time for me to go
The river has me heart
She's the keeper of my soul
On one side of the water
Sweet everlasting grace
The other side could end your life
Or steal your breath away
Makes the loneliest heart wonder
If the ride is worth the pain
Might not be stone clouds inside
Oh but don't you worry friend
She's coming around the bend
She's holding lightning in both hands
She's a natural disaster
She'll tear the land in two
She's running to be running
Cause it's all she knows to do
She's a tumbleweed rolling
A river running wild
A hurricane blowing
She's the calm after the storm
Under an Appalachian sunset sky
Makes the loneliest heart wonder
If the ride is worth the pain
Might not be stone clouds inside
Oh but don't you worry friend
She's coming around the bend
She's holding lightning in both hands
She's like rain
She's rolls in
But there's sunshine in her thunder
She's coming around the band
I cannot be broken
I cannot be tamed
My tongue is a fire and my words are a flame
I will burn and wither
I will stop for none
My will is a drought and my ego the sun
I'm the raging sea
I'm the bending trees
An unstoppable force with a wake of debris
I'm the wind and rain
I'm the loss and the pain
without you, I'm a natural disaster
I will drown the city
I am out for blood
The levee's my conscience, and my pride is a flood
I'm a vicious cycle, always the same
When the storm has passed
Just emptiness and sorrow remain
I'm a natural disaster
I'm a natural disaster, I'm coming on faster
I'm a natural disaster, I'm coming on faster
There's nowhere to to turn nowhere to hide
hands clasped feet resting in the sink engulfed by silence,
i hadnt seen you for so long, you said,
"stop being so dramatic",
state of drunkeness lines in a play we have rehearsed,
this understanding conversation without words,
this cracking broken feeling was inevitable,
hate to be speechless at a moment like this,
you are compassion,
i am overdramatic, unintentional,
i try to communicate telepathically,
i wonder if you ever hear my voice,
i know things never work out right,
i remember sitting on the back porch drinking wine,
backs to moist grass in the park stars buried in the city sky,
make words bigger than my life,
empty promises like skeletons, reflections of myself,
it never burns away, truth comes spillin out,
what this is all about,
i convinced myself i didnt know what to say
Hands clasped, feet resting in the sink
Engulfed by silence, I haven't seen you for so long
You said to stop being so dramatic
We stayed up drunken, missed lines in a play, have we rehearsed this?
Understanding conversations without words
This cracking, broken feeling was inevitable
I hate to be speechless at a moment like this
You are compassion, I am over dramatic
Unintentional, I try to communicate telepathically
I wonder if you ever hear my voice
I know things never work out right
I remember kissing on the back porch drinking wine
Backs to moist grass in the park, stars buried in the city sky
Make words bigger than my life
Empty promises like skeletons, reflections of myself
It never burns away, the truth comes spilling out
What this is all about
Featuring: The Memorials
So when you see me on the way,
Will you pack up or will you stay?
Do you believe that you can weather this storm?
To your misfortune
I come by only to consume.
So your life will be no more?
Not like it was before.
Are you prepared to leave what?s there?
Do materials make your life?
I wonder why?
What do you see as precious?
Now, will you neglect it since time is not on your side?
Let go of your pride!
I?m a natural disaster,
And your joy is what I?m after?
I?m a natural disaster, oh!
If I was an earthquake,
I would crack your world,
I would destroy everything:
Make it like there was no life before.
I could be a blue flame,
I would burn so cold
Wouldn?t leave a trace of life,
Or any fortune that you could hold?
I?m a natural disaster!
I?m a natural disaster!
And your joy is what I?m after?
If I was the west wind
I would blow you down!
Or maybe if I was a twister
I?d come and sweep you right up off the ground!
I?m a wave of emotion,
Come to flood your heart!
My terror might just leave you breathless
As you watch your world fall apart?
I?m a natural disaster!
I?m a natural disaster!
And your joy is what I?m after?
So when you see me on the way,
Will you pack up or will you stay?
Can you weather this storm?
To your misfortune I come by
Only to consume you oh, no more!
Tell me: are you prepared to leave what?s there?
Do materials make your life?
Oh, what do you see as precious?
Will you neglect it
Now that time is not on your side?
Let go of your pride!
Now that time is not on your side?
And let go of your pride!
Oh, what do you see as precious?
Will you neglect it,
Here I thought the drinks were free
But all the time they were grooming me
To be the egg that laid the golden goose.
Now I know we disagree
But soon enough we'll all be free;
That is to worship any way I choose.
But you would wait on the rapture
Or a natural disaster to come around.
Or maybe a couple of airplanes
Could crash into buildings
And put the fear of God in you.
Cause now we're taking over
And no one is the wiser,
With mexican and negro cabinet advisors.
I cut down the cherry tree
And when my mother confronted me
I told her I could never tell a lie.
Cause I have integrity
If you had been there then you'd agree
That no one wants to hear the truth.
What do you want from me?
Can't you see that I'm a talking puppet?
And when someone pulls my strings
I mouth the words, and I suggest you follow suit.
But you would wait on the rapture
Or a natural disaster to come around.
Well maybe a couple of airplanes
Could crash into buildings
The air was getting heavy
I knew that it was coming
So I started up the Chevy
And kept the motor running
A storm came down upon us
And flooded all the rivers
Surrounded by piranhas
And the doctors who deliver
Anything that you require
Now the fields are all on fire
Calling down the wire
La de da de da de da
Batten down the hatches Becky
Open up the earth and sky
Waiting on a natural disaster
Sitting out on my back porch
Watching storm clouds moving faster
Like a natural disaster
Hurricane between us
I saw it on the TV
I went down to Phoenix
To make my last CD
And nobody got paid
Just like the good old days
You can waste your life away
La de da de da de da
Batten down the hatches Becky
Open up the earth and sky
Waiting on a natural disaster
Sitting out on my front porch
Watching storm clouds moving faster
Like a natural disaster
I left Nova Scotia
And headed down the coast
Tore a strip off Memphis
Before I levelled Roanoke
I punished Pecos County
And headed for Las Cruces
Anyone around me
Will be covered in my bruises
You want something to remember me by
You can write my name in the sky
Sing La de da
La de da de da de da
Batten down the hatches Becky
Open up the earth and sky
Waiting on a natural disaster
Sitting out on our front porch
Watching storm clouds moving faster
I'm a natural disaster
weatherman says there's gonna be sun
surely to god i'm not the only one
who'd trade this day for a hurricane
blow 500 miles cross a landlocked state
earthquake shook the California ground
took a freeway out and some buildings down
well i've never felt the earth move under my heels
but i got a pretty good idea just how it feels
i got pictures hangin' on the walls
a history that haunts these halls
of you and me, before and after
a natural disaster
we tore through each other like an avalanche
you and me baby we were bound to crash
the higher we flew the harder we fell
from the hem of heaven, to the gates of hell
like a landslide baby on a suicide run
no thought to the damage done
headed straight downhill, faster and faster
a natural disaster
they say it was a miracle no one died
just two people hurt and some wounded pride
love takes everything in its path
and leaves you breathless in the aftermath
And there's a hole where your heart once stood
you know it won't kill you but you wish it would
cause you don't want to face the morning after
your natural disaster
weatherman says no chance of rain
My friends say think of the bad things
My friends say think of the fights
And then it should be easier to walk away
No more sleepless nights
And even though I don't need you
You're clearly the best thing that happened to me
We should be happy ever after, happiness and laughter
What a natural disaster
You're far too good for me
I said you're far too good for me
We should be happy ever after, happiness and laughter
What a natural disaster
Need to tell myself I don't care
Need to tell myself you're not there
Need to tell myself I don't care
Need to tell myself you're not there
Need some air, need some space
Need some air, need some space
Need some air, need some space
Need some air, need some space
Need some air, the way I'm feelin' I just don't care
And even though I don't need you
You're clearly the best thing that happened to me
We should be happy ever after, happiness and laughter
What a natural disaster
You're far too good for me
I said you're far too good for me
We should be happy ever after, happiness and laughter
What a natural disaster
Oh, what have we done now
Oh, what have we done
Oh, what have we done now
Oh, what have we done
Don't take you for a fool, never
We've been floatin' down a one way river
No way back, can't paddle upstream
I suppose I had a fucked up dream
Had enough of you, had enough of me
What can I say, I'm in a one man team
Schemin' dreamin', wheeler dealin', feelin' strange
I'm in love with the scene
General Malice, seminal talent
Too many brain cells, chemical imbalance
One day soon I'll get it all examined
'Til then I'm goin' on big talent
We write the future, new ruler
Too cool now, well, it don't suit ya
This is Starship Troopers living on a whole other planet

Can you imagine all the homes abandoned and all alone?
With no one left to care for them, wilting in moss.
The paint is peeling off the walls.
The corners are filled up with dust.
Cigarette smoke hangs in the air,
And the grass ain't growing like it did long ago.
Whether a natural disaster ripped it from its foundation
Or an economic tragedy tore apart its family
They're all empty.
The pipes have long since seized.
The windows are all boarded up.
There's no electricity flowing through these lifeless veins.
Cracks are running down the walls
Where picture frames used to hang.
A hint of heartbreak still lingers in the air,
And weeds have choked the breath out of it long ago.
Whether a natural disaster ripped it from its foundation
Or and economic tragedy tore apart its family
They're all empty.
